Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of ClassroomPoints. By signing in or using the service, you agree to them.
The service
ClassroomPoints lets teachers run a classroom points board: track points, form groups, display a classroom view, and share access with co-teachers and families.
Accounts
- You sign in with a Google or Microsoft account. You're responsible for activity in your account and for keeping it secure.
- You must be an adult, and a teacher, school staff member, or someone otherwise authorised to use the service for a classroom.
- If you add co-teachers, you're responsible for who you invite. You can remove them at any time.
Plans and billing
- New classrooms cost $5 per month per classroom, billed monthly in advance through Stripe, until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime from Billing & plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and points stay active until then.
- Payments aren't refundable for partial months, except where required by law.
- Some existing classrooms created before paid plans were introduced are currently free. We may change which classrooms are free, or introduce pricing for them, with at least 30 days' notice.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from your next billing period.
- Being a co-teacher on someone else's classroom is free.
Your content and student information
- You own the classroom content you add, including student names and points. You give us permission to store and display it only to provide the service.
- You confirm that you're authorised to enter your students' information, and that your use complies with your school's policies and applicable law, including FERPA and COPPA where they apply.
- Please use first names or nicknames, and don't enter sensitive information about students.

Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service. That includes accessing classrooms you haven't been given access to, interfering with or overloading the service, using it to harass or shame students, or using it for anything unlawful.
Sharing links
Parent links give read-only access to anyone who has them. Co-teacher invites only work for the email address they were sent to. Share links carefully; you can remove co-teachers and reset access at any time.
Availability and changes
We work to keep ClassroomPoints available and your data safe, but the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue the service, we'll give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Ending use
You can stop using ClassroomPoints and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or harm other users, and will tell you why where we can.
Disclaimers and liability
ClassroomPoints is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and notify account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
